Been almost a month since i last finish my exam. Received my certificate from PMI last week, though they said they try to deliver them within 8 weeks time (if i was not wrong). Seems that PMI's management is questionable with the fast delivery of the certificate !!!! Well, i am not here to judge them, anyway.
First of all, thanks to all who had been together with me since the beginning until to the last moment, my wife, kids, Roger, Elly, classmates, Michael who had been extremely helpful and dedicated. Roger, Elly, i owed you a favour for calling me to attend the final class before the exam.
The exam was pretty much easy if you had followed steps Roger shown. Go for the final session before you go for the exam. I missed that one, so i have to sit for the exam twice. DO NOT be over confidence. For study materials, I used 3 items for my study, the study note, PMBOK and RITA. Finally, go though 1 round on questions available to make yourself suit to the question environment. Learn to think the tricky way.
However, the main thing, you need to understand what PMBOK meant. The code (i call it code though it was explained explicitely), was for a universal application. Your experience do not count at all, if not confusing. It's like you leave everything behind you and start afresh again in Project Management. Probably, this was because there are so many bad "experienced" gurus out there that had demonstrate their experience instead of understanding how the theory works.
ITTO is helpful, not only for the exam, but for your application after that. My only problem was, formulas - procurement, and cost. They also nearly cost me the exam. Remember, if you have anything to write before starting the exam, do it after you had enter the tutorial before you start the exam. The computer was a little slow, so, i decided to write on the papers provided before i forget the formulas, and it nearly cost me the exam as i need to click into tutorial within a minute or the exam would just end by it self.
Finally, for those preparing for the exam, good luck. Take it easy, Elly can give you good strategy in making your schdedule. Believe me, i tried the hard part. Not worth to go through that again. It's not a very difficult task if you trust the guidnace of PM-ABC.
